Proof of Dog Telepathy?

As an animal communicator of 30+ years, I am interested when scientists become interested in "deciphering" how dogs and other animals "pick up" on our thoughts and intentions, meanings and feelings. Cognitive Biologists are the scientists who are usually at the forefront of these studies which explore how animals, think, feel and more recently ask if dogs possess "Theory of Mind," the ability to attribute mental states to oneself and others.

Dr. Karen Becker recently shared a story about a study by a group of researchers at Messerli Research Institute at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Vienna, Austria who determined that dogs recognized when they were being "tricked" by experimenters with treats, but also understood when the researcher was trying to give them treats when impeded by an obstacle. The dogs quit paying attention to the researcher intentionally tricking them, but stuck with the one who had good intentions.

Dr Becker writes, "Although this was a preliminary study, the findings are important according to Evan MacLean, director of the Arizona Canine Cognition Center at the University of Arizona (who wasn’t involved in the research), especially considering how hard it is to understand what’s going on in the mind of another species. The findings, MacLean believes, support the notion that dogs are tuned into our thoughts as well as our actions." (emphasis mine.)

Happily researchers around the world will continue exploring this mind-to-mind (telepathic) connection dogs and other animals have with us AND with other species.

Ahead of the Game

Of course, you, dear reader, already know that these mind-to-mind connections between your animals and yourselves are real. You may doubt your abilities to consistently pick up what your companion is communicating to you, which is why you contract me, but you know your animals are picking up your thoughts and feelings. Isn't it nice to know more and more people, especially left brained folks, are waking up to this beautiful reality?
